Rounds savings group planning together

What is Rounds?

Rounds is a digital platform that helps people save together through a rotating savings group, also known as a Mukando, Stokvel, Chama, or ROSCA. Members contribute a set amount regularly, and each member receives the pooled payout according to the group's agreed order, schedule, and terms.

Rounds makes it easy to manage contributions, track progress, communicate with members, and receive reminders throughout the life of a Round.

How does a Round work?

  • 1 A group is created.
  • 2 Members join the Round.
  • 3 Everyone contributes the agreed amount on the scheduled date.
  • 4 One member receives the payout for that cycle.
  • 5 The process continues until every member has received a payout.

What happens if I miss a payment?

If you miss a scheduled contribution:

  • You may receive reminder notifications and follow-up communications.
  • Your participation in the current Round may be delayed or restricted until outstanding contributions are made.
  • Repeated missed payments may result in being unable to participate in future Rounds.
  • Late payments may attract applicable fees where permitted and disclosed.

Each Round operates according to the agreed rules set by its members. Members are responsible for meeting their contribution commitments.

Rounds provides the technology platform to facilitate contributions, communication, and payouts, but does not guarantee the performance or obligations of individual members. To the extent permitted by law, Rounds is not responsible for losses arising from a member's failure to meet their commitments, withdrawal from a group, or other actions outside of Rounds' control.

Can I leave a Round after joining?

Rounds are designed as commitments between members. Once a Round has commenced, leaving may not be possible without the agreement of the group and in accordance with the Round's rules.

This helps protect all members who rely on each participant fulfilling their contribution commitments throughout the cycle.

Members remain responsible for any obligations incurred before leaving a Round. Depending on the circumstances, requests to leave may be reviewed by the group administrator and may impact eligibility for future participation.

Does Rounds guarantee payouts?

No. Rounds facilitates contributions and payouts according to the agreed rules of each group.

While we use technology, identity verification, payment processing controls, and transparency measures to support a reliable experience, Rounds does not guarantee the performance, conduct, or financial commitments of individual members.

Participation in a Round involves cooperation and trust between members. As such, payout timing and completion may be affected if members fail to meet their agreed obligations. We encourage members to join Rounds with people they know and trust and to carefully review the group's terms before participating.

Are members responsible for their own decisions?

Yes. Members are responsible for selecting who they join a Round with and for assessing the suitability of a group before participating.

Rounds provides the technology platform to facilitate group savings activities but does not act as a guarantor of member conduct, contributions, or payouts. We implement measures designed to support transparency, security, and accountability, participation in any Round involves trust between members.

We encourage users to join Rounds with people they know and trust and to review all group terms before committing.

What notifications will I receive?

New invitations
Invitation acceptance updates
Upcoming contribution reminders
Overdue payment reminders

How much does it cost to use Rounds?

The fee is automatically deducted at the time of each payout. Any applicable fees will always be disclosed before you join or create a Round.
